Chapter 72: Emperor Frederic II

Emperor Frederic II. was born in Jesolo, and grew up in Palermo. As a grown man he was known as “stupor mundi”, but as a teen, he was better known as “stupor alcoholicus”.

When Richard I. Lionheart of England passed through Austria on his way home from the Holy Land, Frederic II. laid a trap for him. Having gotten to know the English monarch on crusade, he knew which bait would work.

The trap worked perfectly, and the German Emperor rejoiced.
